Trichinella spiralies is a species of nematode of the class Adenophorea that causes a disease known as trichinellosis, trichinosis or trichiniasis.

Trichinosis is a disease caused by eating undercooked meat containing cysts of Trichinella spiralis, a parasite that can be found in the meat of animals such as pork.

If a pig acquires this bacterium, it is essential that the meat is cooked at 90°C for more than 20 minutes to ensure the elimination of this microorganism.

If the meat is improperly cooked, there is a chance that a diner could be poisoned.

During this festive season, make sure you cook the pork properly and enjoy it in good health.
